Nashville Part 1

Back in August Chris turned 40 and to celebrate we took another trip to Nashville.

Chris chose the hotel since it was his birthday.  It was a fun party vibe and the main strip of bars was just outside the hotel.   The check in was at the bar and we got a complimentary cocktail as soon as we arrived.

We got freshened up and I put my favorite socks on so I could slide on my cowgirl boots and we were ready for some music.

Live Country music and drinks to start off our weekend.

Nashville Friday Nights

We didn't stay out too late the first night because we had to be up early for our trip out to Lynchburg for the Jack Daniels Distillery tour.

The tour ride out was about an hour and a half and I enjoyed every single second of seeing more of gorgeous Tennessee!  The grounds of Jack Daniel's Distillery also did not disappoint.

So pretty everywhere and we thoroughly enjoyed the history here.

At the end of the tour we got to taste and the room was so neat!  We were surrounded by whiskey barrels and the details were just perfect.

After the whiskey tour we had a couple of hours to kill before we needed to be back on the bus so we walked over to the town and ate some amazing BBQ and checked out all the shops.

As I was taking this picture below the owner came out and talked to us for awhile.  He was so nice as was every single person we met.   We never just walked into a shop with just a hello greeting.  Each person struck up a conversation with us and some we spent some time chatting with.  I just love Tennessee

As we walked back, sweating to death, I forgot to mention how horribly humid it was, I saw the town library.  If I see a library I always send a picture to Kayla, we love a good library.

We purchased this special occasion whiskey to bring back and I had it engraved for Chris' 40th.

That evening we ate dinner back in Nashville at Jason Aldean's.

Then we hit the streets for some more country music

Saturday night in Nashville is no joke and after a few hours we were both ready for somewhere with less people!   Our hotel had live music every night and was not very crowded so we headed back there and grabbed a drink.

This kid was my favorite from the trip, he sang all the great classics and a few of his own and his own songs were really good.

We ended our night here and enjoyed people watching and this guy was our favorite. He was drinking chocolate martinis all night and was hilarious, we named him Brody.

to be continued....
