Kayla has been wanting to visit the La Brea Tar Pits for the past few years and since none of us had ever been we decided to add it to our Summer Fun List this year.
It was a lot smaller than we all thought it would be but it was still worth the drive. I think we all enjoyed learning a little about the Ice Age and the animals that lived back then.
Since we were done rather quickly we decided to go somewhere for lunch. Kayla said we should go to Universal City Walk. She had been with a friend and loved it so we decided to go there to grab some lunch and shop around.
These two hold hands whenever they are happy or excited about something. It's the cutest thing and it makes my heart burst just about every time I see them hand in hand!
We ate lunch at Karl Strauss Brewing Company and had a great seat overlooking the city walk so we enjoyed lots of people watching.
Next up we did some shopping!
After our long drive home and a couple hours of relaxing we headed up to our nearby park for a concert in the park.
We grabbed dinner, snow cones, popcorn and the girls played with friends.
The girls ended the night with some face painting and some more running around with friends before we walked back home.
We sure fit a lot into one day but we had so much fun and these busy Summer days always end up being my favorite memories!
