Easy Decorating with an Artificial Boxwood Topiary

Not too long ago I was contacted by HedgeScapes to see if I would like to review one of their many products.   Once I took a look at their page and saw the artificial boxwood hedges I knew immediately it would work in our home!  I'm always a little nervous to pick things out online because you never really know what you are going to get but I assure you I was pleasantly surprised when this item arrived.    The packaging first off was amazing.  There was absolutely no way the item could've been damaged because they took extra precaution to make sure it arrived looking perfect.

Right now it is on display in our kitchen and I love it here but I know it will eventually be moved all around the house.   I also love that it adds the perfect amount of green to the room and there is no need to water it or worry about it dying if I neglect it at all.  

HedgeScapes mainly specializes in outdoor products that are maintenance free and durable.  Their products look so real and I went back and forth debating on whether or not I wanted to order an outdoor topiary for the front porch but instead decided I would enjoy an indoor item more, so if you are in need of some outdoor greenery be sure to visit HedgeScapes.  

This topiary is going to be so fun to decorate with through the seasons as well.  I've already changed it up a little for Valentine's day and added a cute little strand of heart lights to it that I turn on each night.   I'm already thinking of what I can do next to decorate it for Easter!  It's so nice to have the convenience of online retailers like HedgeScapes that make shopping so much simpler for our busy lives.

Canvas Press Review

Happy February friends!

We are all ready for a new month over here and the house is decked out with lots of LOVE decor and in perfect timing I received this beautiful canvas of my very favorite Valentine's to display in our home.

A little while ago Canvas Press contacted me and offered to send me a 16x20 canvas to review.  I chose this picture below of my girls and within a week I received my canvas!!! 

 I can not believe how fast it had arrived and the quality of the photo is excellent.    I've ordered others in the past from different companies and the colors have never been this vibrant.  I also love that I could choose the thickness of the canvas.  I went with the two inch sides and I really think it makes the canvas stand out more, which I really like.

My entire experience with Canvas Press was so simple.  The hardest part was picking which picture to use!   Not only do they offer canvases but they also offer framed prints and metal prints.  I think a canvas would make such a beautiful Valentine's day gift for a family member or even yourself!  If you decide to order something let me know what you get, I would love to see!

Goose Creek Candles & Giveaway

Goose Creek Candles

I was recently sent a few fabulous items from Goose Creek Candles which is one of my favorite candle companies to order from.   I've purchased a few Fall scented candles from them in the past so I already knew the quality would be excellent but I was excited to try some fun Summer scents this time around!

As most of you already know that read my blog the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and we always throw a party at our home filled with family, games, food and fireworks so when I saw that Goose Creek Candles carried a Red, White & Blue candle I knew it would be perfect to add to our decor!

When it arrived I was surprised at how large the candle was and the smell of course was amazing.  It's been burning almost non stop since it arrived!

Our Spring Family Room

The weather here has been Spring-like for a few weeks and to be honest it appears we have completely skipped over Winter.  Every year around this time I like to bring in some more color into our home.   Along with adding some color I also decided I wanted to add some personalized items to our family room.   This is the room where we all hang out the most whether it's cuddled up on the couch for a movie night, playing barbies or having a family game night I want to make sure it reflects what is most important to us which is, us as a family.

The first thing I did was add some fun pillows, I had the flower print pillows stashed away in a closet so I brought those out but knew I needed something that was a little more personal and  would add some more color to the room.

I found these beautiful pillows that I could customize from Tiny Prints and I was sold!  How fun that I could take a favorite picture of our girls and add it to a throw pillow which is now the first thing you see as you walk into the room.  

The bright and cheery peach pillow is customized with a C for our last name.  I added some flowers, candles and a few Spring touches such as the tiny bird as well.  The seafoam poufs were purchased from Target and are perfect for the girls to sit on while we are playing a game or watching t.v. 

I love all the soft colors that were brought into the room but it needed one last important item which was this favorite family photo that was made into the most beautiful photo block.

The girls were so excited when they got home from school and saw the pillow with their photo on it.

We are definitely enjoying our refreshed family room for Spring!

Feathered Nest Friday

Kiwi Crate

I don't know if any of you have heard of Kiwi Crate or not but if your kids love doing crafts this is perfect for them!

I recently ordered our first box to find out if it is something the girls would enjoy.

We love doing crafts over here and I spent so much time last Summer trying to come up with new crafts to do and then out shopping, gathering all the items needed for the crafts that when I heard about a box that is mailed directly to your home already including EVERYTHING you need I ordered it right away!

The boxes are shipped once a month and include a different theme each time, there are about 2 crafts in each box and a few other fun activities included.

The month of May included a bird theme and the girls were so excited to get started on on their crafts.

I couldn't believe how organized everything included was and how easy and detailed the directions were. 

We got started right away and the girls were pretty excited to dump a whole bottle of glue in a cup to make their own bird nest.

What could be more fun than sticking your hands in sticky glue?!

After the string was completely coated in glue they got to spread it over the bowls which were included, to form their nests.

We all thought this was so fun!

While waiting for the nests to dry we moved on to creating our bird eggs.

Here are the eggs all finished inside there little nests.

One of the extra activities in the box included spoons to have egg races.

The girls have had a good time racing each other up and down the hall.

Next up was the bird costume, the girls didn't need much help making their eggs and nest but for this one I had to help them a bit more, which I didn't mind at all.

We moved the craft to the family room to give us more room to work.

The girls got to work punching out the pieces while I threaded their wings.

We fit their masks to their heads and then they decorated them with feathers.

There are 3 different beaks included  to choose from which can easily be changed out whenever they want to be a different bird.

I can't tell you how much the girls enjoyed putting these crafts together.

They keep asking me when the next box is coming!!
