Our Spring Family Room

The weather here has been Spring-like for a few weeks and to be honest it appears we have completely skipped over Winter.  Every year around this time I like to bring in some more color into our home.   Along with adding some color I also decided I wanted to add some personalized items to our family room.   This is the room where we all hang out the most whether it's cuddled up on the couch for a movie night, playing barbies or having a family game night I want to make sure it reflects what is most important to us which is, us as a family.

The first thing I did was add some fun pillows, I had the flower print pillows stashed away in a closet so I brought those out but knew I needed something that was a little more personal and  would add some more color to the room.

I found these beautiful pillows that I could customize from Tiny Prints and I was sold!  How fun that I could take a favorite picture of our girls and add it to a throw pillow which is now the first thing you see as you walk into the room.  

The bright and cheery peach pillow is customized with a C for our last name.  I added some flowers, candles and a few Spring touches such as the tiny bird as well.  The seafoam poufs were purchased from Target and are perfect for the girls to sit on while we are playing a game or watching t.v. 

I love all the soft colors that were brought into the room but it needed one last important item which was this favorite family photo that was made into the most beautiful photo block.

The girls were so excited when they got home from school and saw the pillow with their photo on it.

We are definitely enjoying our refreshed family room for Spring!
