Easter Eve

It had rained for six days straight so on Saturday when we had clear skies and the sun was out we got out of the house for a nice long walk and scooter ride.

When the girls and I had to get out of the house last week so daddy could do his interview we drove around the neighborhood and looked for bears in all the houses, a "bear hunt"  We actually had a lot of fun doing this and were cracking up each time we would see a teddy bear in a window.   The girls added one to our window the moment we got home and of course it had to be the biggest bear we had!

Brooklyn got the sweetest letter from her teacher telling her how much she missed her and she even sent some pictures she had of them from the school year.  Such a sweet sentiment during these times!

We had another Easter basket drop off from the grandparents and again visited with them from the window for a bit.

They hid some eggs in the front yard for the girls to find after they left.

They each got to find three and one of them was packed with tiny erasers that Brooklyn exploded all over the grass.

I picked up an egg dye kit a few weeks ago and Brooklyn was so excited when she saw it in the pantry, she didn't think she was going to get to dye eggs this year at all.

Never too old to dye Easter eggs.

Since the weather was amazing we all headed outside for the rest of the afternoon.  I made myself my new favorite cocktail, an Aperol Spritz to enjoy on the patio.

The girls jumped on the trampoline and played until they were tired and said they wanted to go read.  I told them to grab their books and read outside because it was too nice to be inside.

Later I was complaining how they never sit with the Easter bunny anymore and then I remembered the ears and nose we had inside so I begged them for some bunny pictures.  They happily played along and I got my pictures.

Definitely not quite the same as when they were little!

Easter Eve ended with Charlie Brown before the girls were off to bed.

You can't pass up a nice sunny day when there's been a lot of rain! I loved these pictures, especially the ones of the girls laughing! My oldest daughter has Down Syndrome and the two youngest (4 years apart) fought a lot growing up. But now they are so close, best friends! There's nothing like sisters! (I have 2 myself.)

I love the sprint drinks and now you have me thinking I should get everything to make sure this weekend.
