I had been praying for this day to happen this year for the past four months. The 4th of July is my second most favorite day of the year other than Christmas and I really needed it to happen this year after everything going on. I was so happy that we were able to celebrate with some of our family. We were missing a few but that didn't stop us from celebrating. From water balloon fights, drinking sangria all day, sno cones, our traditional fireball shots, burgers and beers to yard games we all had soooo much fun. I was a little upset that just about all of California had canceled the traditional firework shows along with all beaches but the people of our state did not disappoint. We had so many fireworks to watch from our own backyard that it was almost better than or usual walk over to the nearby school to watch them from afar. The girls, Chris and I were all up until midnight listening to music and singing along while watching random fireworks exploding everywhere. Kayla and Brooklyn both woke up the next morning and said they had had so much fun. 2020 4th of July sure was different but might just be up high on our lists of one of our favorites yet!
