June

The last few days of school for the girls were minimum day so on one of those days we went straight to the mall to shop after they got out.  They had no problem finding some fun Summer clothes.

I got some of the cutest end of the school year gifts from a couple of the families of the kids I worked with this year.

Chris sent me this picture while I was grocery shopping.  It was the very first day of her Summer and Brooklyn brought out all of her Legos to play with, Love it!

Kayla and Brooklyn on their first Summer night

They set up the front room all comfy and watched movies way too late together!

Happy kitty's having us all home all day once again

The patio is Summer ready!

We spent the first Saturday of June celebrating my father in laws birthday.

Such a fun day spent swimming and hanging with cousins.

Chris and I drove out to Temecula to do some wine tasting for my sister in laws birthday.

My new adorable drinking buddy

We had such a fun time hanging with these two!

After our drive home we needed to eat so In N Out it was and I had to force Chris to eat in the car because he is not okay with food being eaten in a car but he survived and no food was spilled.

Summer means time to travel!

Summer goals

A library trip was requested by Kayla of course.  Brooklyn came along because I told her she must start reading again this Summer.  She was not happy with me but she found three books and read two of them in two weeks.  She admitted she has been enjoying her books so all is well.

Kayla on the other hand is as always loving her books.

pink hydrangeas and morning coffee

Chris and I drove out to Palm Springs to go out to a few bars with his dad.  The girls came too but stayed at their papa's house watched movies and ate sushi.

It was a fun night on the town

Kayla's cross country team is doing a lot of fundraisers this Summer and one of them was for them to work a concession stand at a minor league baseball game.  Chris went along with her to help out and I was sent pictures from him and her coach throughout the night.

Brooklyn and I stayed home and ate dinner and watched a movie together.

Kayla said she had lots of fun working but her feet were killing her at the end of the night.

The next morning she was up and ready to meet up with the team for a little Saturday run of five and half miles.  She has been working so hard this Summer!

Brooklyn has started working out daily.  She found some exercise videos that she likes and does them. She's also running throughout the week so she'll be ready for cross country in the Fall.

Chris's cousin turned 40 so we all gathered for a surprise party.

We ended the month celebrating my grandmother's 90th birthday!

She enjoyed lunch at Olive Garden where she loved her two orders of Sangria and dessert of her choosing although she thought she should've been able to choose two desserts since it was her birthday! ;)
