July flew by but when I look back at these pictures I feel like things happened so much longer ago than just one month ago. Before things got too hot as in the last few weeks, I was able to bring in pretty flowers from the yard. Happily awaiting the days I can cut flowers again!
Selfies found on my phone that Brooklyn likes to leave behind.
She read so many books this Summer!
I'm so glad I made her read because she was all in to reading all the books she brought home from the library in the past few months.
Summer pizza making!
Went to Kayla's friends Quinceanera and the all the girls looked so pretty.
Chris and I went on a date and tried out a new Italian restaurant that was really good.
Then we went to a fun speakeasy that we cannot wait to go back to!
Brooklyn is rewatching all of Friday Night Lights again.
We went to the movies to see Jurassic World which we all enjoyed.
Besties forever!
They'll never be too old to cuddle
Always getting belly rubs
Waiting patiently for one of her besties to meet her so they could ride their bike together up the street to the park. I may have tracked her on my phone non stop for the hour she was gone!
My niece turned 6 but had a full on discussion with me on how she was actually turning 8 and the balloon was just one they already had so they used it again. She told me she was starting third grade and had a few more good arguments that I almost second guessed myself. As soon as I told her that her gift was meant for a 6 year old so I'd have to take it back home she folded. I now have a whole new amount of respect for this little girl tho!
Summer homework for her AP classes. This girl has worked her butt off for cross country all Summer and always for her classes. She makes us so proud!
Kayla left for a whole week to go to cross country camp so Brooklyn was an only child. She wanted a mother daughter shopping day so that's what she got.
We had a great day together!
I made some of her dinner requests which one just so happens to be everyone's favorite so she wanted to make sure we sent a picture to Kayla.
We had a swim day at her Papa's house in Palm Springs.
and went to her besties house for a bbq where she spent the night playing Just Dance
at one point they talked their dads into dancing along to the game which was quite the entertainment.
These two were cracking up!
Back to being men after their dance.
Kayla came back from camp on a Monday night and Tuesday her best friend who moved away to Tennessee last Summer came to spend the night. She was back for one week and made sure she had a night she could come see her bestie. These two talked nonstop from 12 pm on Tuesday til she left at 3 pm Wednesday. I adore their friendship and cry with Kayla everytime she leaves.
After over a week of running 7 miles a day for cross country this girls was exhausted. I found her Thursday napping on the couch after she came home from practice and showered.
Our last library visit of the Summer.
Other than the fourth of July we didn't entertain at all this Summer so when friends asked if we could get together before Summer ended we quickly offered up our house and I loved getting everything together for a laid back BBQ.
A fun with friends BBQ was the perfect way to wrap up the month of July.

Looks like July was awesome! I wish summer would last longer - I do not want to go back to the grind of school!
