July Recap

Kayla was officially a licensed driver and driving herself around town now.  We got her  a new keychain for her car keys

June keeping me company while both of my girls left to go run for cross country.  It's definitely different watching them drive away but also pretty nice that we don't have to drive them all around town everyday.

Fourth of July decor got packed up.

The house got a good clean.

We had a fun girls shopping day together.

I got a new car!

Chris and I left for a wine tasting day but quickly had to turn around because the roads were shut down due to a fire.  We came back home and decided to have a wine day at home instead.

Cousin birthday party where Kayla got to hold her littlest cousin

The girls playing with kid toys

while two brothers acted like kids.

Kayla and were both in black and white so I wanted a picture.  Unfortunately, Brooklyn didn't get the memo to match with us.

While Kayla was away at cross country camp Brooklyn had a friend spend the night so we got donuts for breakfast.  I can't remember the last time I had a donut.  They were delicious!

I love Summertime in my home

Brooklyn fit in a week of friend time while her big sister was away.

Loved having some one on one time with just our girl.

Nothing better than a rainy Summer day!

My rain loving girl!

Home from camp and chose our room to take a nap in.

Pizza nights are always a hit around here

Back to school was coming quick so we did our back to school shopping day

Enjoyed a delicious lunch

and had fun trying things on.

We always end with a Starbucks for the drive home

The next day Brooklyn said she found her back to school shoes.

Always finding sticks when she is outside

Before Summer was up we had to visit with my grandmother who was so happy to see us.

It's so hard to say goodbye, wishing we could spend more days with her.

June thinks the unfolded towels are put there for her everytime.

A few years ago I got the girls a soap making kit and we never got around to actually making them. So when we had a free day I pulled it out and they got to work.

When they were little we crafted all the time.  I miss those days!

Kayla washing her own car!

The girls said they needed a sisters shopping day so they went off and spent the day together while Chris and I took advantage and had a date day at a local brewery.

Another rainy day meant Brooklyn would be outside sitting on the trampoline enjoying it.

It's life-changing when that first child begins to drive! It's a rite of passage for the parents as well! So many good things for you in July. Praying August is just as good - or better!
