Celebrating L.O.V.E.

Valentine's Day for hubby and I was celebrated on Sunday night when we went out to dinner without the girls.
We wanted to be home Monday with the girls so we could celebrate the day together.
But before Valentine's day had even happened the girls were lucky enough to receive such sweet Valentine's gifts from their Grandparents.
They got some really cute outfits and books.

Come Valentine's morning we had Pink Chocolate Chip pancakes for breakfast.
Kayla had her Valentine's Day Party at school so while Daddy and Brooklyn stayed home we headed off to school.
They passed out Valentine's to their classmates and then got to decorate sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles.
She came home with her sugar cookies and a ton of candy!

Her teacher made these cute heart hats!

After the Valentine's party we came home and ate some lunch.
The girls took their naps and woke up to their Valentines gifts from us

Brooklyn got the cupcake with the puppy inside.
She thinks this is the funniest thing in the world!
As soon as she opens the little door she laughs hysterically!

Don't mind the mouth full of graham crackers :)

Kayla received a basket full of goodies...
Hello Kitty chapstick,
Pink Hot Chocolate,
Toy Story Figurines,
stamps,
Cupcake socks,
more CANDY!

They both enjoyed their gifts...YAY!

Both of them helped me make a heart shaped cake for our dessert.
Kayla added the sprinkles which took forever because she thought adding one sprinkle at a time would be a good idea.

We ate pasta, salad and bread for dinner...simple and yummy!
After dessert the girls had their bubble baths and we all cuddled on the couch with a few more sweets to watch Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown.
It was a wonderful Valentine's Day spent with the ones I love.
