Weekend Recap

Friday night I took Kayla out to pick out her party theme for her birthday which is a little over a month away.  She already knew exactly what kind of party she wanted but I just wanted to make sure so we could get some ideas and plan a little in advance.
After we ran around trying to get some ideas we headed over to Barnes and Noble where she got to pick out some dessert.  She was so excited to get to pick out a dessert and sit with mommy and eat.  Afterwards we headed over to the children's section where we read A LOT of books together.  It was so much fun reading book after book with her.  If I could do this every weekend I definitely would.  Eventually when Brooklyn will sit still long enough she can come too and then we can do it more often.  We were having such a nice time that I didn't even realized it was 8:30, her bedtime so we decided to head home so she could get ready for bed.

The rest of the weekend was spent lounging around the house.

Brooklyn's new favorite spot to climb into
Daddy worked all day Saturday and on Sunday when I had hoped to spend the day outside gardening on the first day of Spring it was too cold and was supposed to rain.
So instead of planting flowers I pulled out all of our Easter and Spring decor and got to decorating.
The girls had fun rummaging through the box full of bunny decorations and Easter eggs.
Atleast the inside of our home looks and feels like Spring.

Today the sun is shining but tomorrow and the rest of the week we will have rain.  I guess gardening will have to wait!

Sounds like too much rain! The girls are adorable as always - love the B&N photo of Kayla and the Brooklyn in a basket photo! I hope you get some warm and clear weather soon...

I think we live somewhat near each other and we were in the middle of the downpouring rain this weekend as well. Seriously, your girlies couldn't be any cuter.
