Celebrating the Day

For the past 3 years on Kayla's birthday we have taken her to her favorite place, Disneyland.
Since we do not have our passes anymore
(Mom & Dad were getting a little burnt out on that place, so we are taking a break!)
and since Kayla had school on her birthday I wanted to make sure she still had a great day.
When I took her to school we also took in some cupcakes for her and her classmates.

They of course were all thrilled to have cupcakes at 9 AM.
Brooklyn even got to enjoy a cupcake with the class and lets just say she was the entertainment for the rest of the kids.
As you can see below she is not the most elegant eater.
The kids got a kick out of her covered in chocolate face and were laughing hysterical at her.
Brooklyn thought this was great and would laugh back at them.
Needless to say they all had a lot of fun!

After school Brooklyn and I picked up Kayla where she found a little balloon and some M & M's sitting in her carseat.

Once we got home it was naptime.
When she walked into her room, this is what she saw....

She was very impressed and told me she loved it!

Once daddy got home she got to open a little something from us.

We also told her we could go out to dinner or I would make anything she wanted for dinner.
She said she wanted Mexican food because she loves Chips & Broccoli...meaning Guacamole :)
We headed out to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Palm Springs, Las Casuelas.

It was 91 degrees and of course daddy and mommy were sitting in the sun melting but the girls were fine eating their cheese quesadilla's.
Other than the heat, we had a great dinner.

I had bought a game for Kayla's party but since we had the jump house we did not end up using the game so I set it up for Kayla and Brooklyn to play when we got back from dinner.
They had so much fun putting the flower stickers all over Minnie Mouse.

Kayla's 4th birthday ended with non other than a bowl full of ice cream and us singing 'Happy Birthday' to her.

It was a great birthday!

Honestly Shannon you are the best mommy! It is obvious from the big smiles on your little girls. I think I recognize the book...Alice the Fairy? It was a gift to Charlotte when she was just 4 too and I'm still reading it:)
