Celebrating our Country

The 4th of July has come and gone.
I had planned on taking a lot of pictures and today I sit and remember all the things I wanted to get but to tell the truth yesterday I just wanted to enjoy it, and I did.
Looking over the pictures I did get I am happy I atleast got enough good ones to show how much fun the girls had.

It was extremely hot yesterday but we still all managed to spend the day outside.

We had a few water balloon fights to help cool us down.

Kayla really enjoyed throwing water balloons and begged for water balloons from the moment we were all in the backyard.
Below is the best picture I could get of these two girls together.
They were non-stop from the moment they got outside, who wants to stop and take a picture when there is so much fun to be had.

Brooklyn doing her best to stay cool.

When the sun went down we pulled out the 4th of July glow sticks I picked up from The Dollar Store.
These were a hit and the girls enjoyed parading around the backyard in the dark twirling and marching with them.

We can see the fireworks from a local park from our backyard so we all watched together, all except for Brooklyn.
She freaked out and wanted inside the house.
Last year when she was 10 months old she loved them but this year she wanted nothing to do with them.  She had the tightest grip around my neck and was truly scared.
So instead she enjoyed watching some Wow Wow Wubbzy inside while we finished up watching the fireworks.
I did get her to come out towards the end and she danced around to music instead of watching and was fine with that.
We had so much fun and I can't believe it is already over.
I'm already looking forward to next years 4th of July!
