Weekend Recap

Thank you everyone for all the sweet comments on our Snow day pictures and I did order that picture of the cows standing in the field on a canvas so we could always remember that beautiful day.
Now that the snow is gone it seems the wind has taken it's place.
This past weekend the temperatures were perfect it even got up to the 80's on Sunday but the wind definitely ruined any chance of us playing outside.
On Saturday morning we woke up early, well early for a Saturday atleast.
Kayla had T-ball pictures at 9am so we got ready and headed out to the fields in hopes that we wouldn't blow away.
It was not the best day for pictures!

I'm thinking the pictures are not going to turn out too well but we'll see.
Brooklyn didn't mind the wind, she spent her time running around and pretending to fly.

When we got home the girls did some drawing and playing with sticker books while hubby watched racing and I caught up on some reading online.

Here is our new little desk area in the family room.
Earlier in the week I took the desk out of our bedroom and moved it into the family room so now we have a desk for the computer.

Kayla likes it as well, she uses it as a place to color sometimes.

The above picture is what remains of Brooklyn's Piggy Bank.
While she was supposed to be napping she decided instead she would throw her piggy bank on the floor and shatter it into a million pieces!
It took us forever to get her down for her nap on Saturday, she was constantly getting up and sneaking down the hall.
Needless to say after the piggy bank episode we were not too happy with her!

We had a date night planned for Saturday night and wanted to make sure these girls were going to be well rested so their Papa would enjoy his time with them!
Eventually Brooklyn fell asleep and we did go out to dinner.

How we found our furry babies when we got home

Sunday morning breakfasts are the best and yesterday was no exception,  we ate Apple Cinnamon Pancakes with turkey sausage.
so yummy!

After the kitchen was all cleaned up I got dressed and ready to hit up Old Navy, Target and Costco.
I had some serious shopping to do!
I wanted to get the girls some of their Easter Basket goodies as well as some Spring/Summer clothes for myself.

Mission accomplished!
I got myself 2 cute outfits and the girls Easter dresses as well as their swimsuits and cover-ups for their Easter baskets.

The girls were napping when I got home so I did some laundry and then took a shower.
When they woke up we headed out to meet my parents, brother and his fiance to Celebrate my moms birthday!

I had been counting down the days to give her her birthday present.
Back in November I bought us tickets to go see Lady Antebellum and got us rooms at a very nice hotel for the night.
I had been trying not to ruin the surprise for the past 4 months and now I can finally be excited with her.
Happy Birthday Mom!

It was a fast and busy weekend!
I ran from here to there for the past two days and now today I am stuck with a ton of laundry.
I guess I know what I'll be doing all day ;)
Happy Monday!

Busy, busy! Don't you love those weekends when you get a lot accomplished?

I love your cute little desk! I need to find one just that size for exactly the same reason.

Oh, Brooklyn - it must be a second child thing!

Oh you and your mom will have a memory making night for sure. How fun! Looks like a fun family weekend. P.S. I noticed your cute Anthro butter dish?!? Is that where you found that? I've had my eye on that for awhile if it's the same one. Have a great weekend Shannon.
