A Weekend Away

Friday morning I dropped the girls off at my parents for the weekend so hubby and I could head out to Palm Springs for some relaxation.
We weren't leaving until later that night so I went and got a massage and then headed over to Nordstrom to check out the sale.
I found a bunch of goodies that I really wanted but was so proud of myself for not buying a thing.
With all the weddings we have coming up I figured I better save some money before I get back to shopping for myself.

Eventually I got back home and got ready for our little vacation to begin.

I was worried about how hot is was going to be when we got there but it ended up not being that bad.
Of course if we were walking around in it it would've been unpleasant but since there is air conditioning and misters in all the restaurants and bars, we were fine.

Saturday we spent all day out in the pool with drinks of course!

There was the perfect amount of cloud coverage most of the day which helped not having the beating sun on us on top of the 110 temps.

It was so relaxing to spend all day lounging with nobody to take care of but ourselves.

Sunday we headed back home to reality and today my schedule is full of laundry and mopping floors.
We have been having problems with ants the past week and they are driving me crazy!!
Hoping all my crazy cleaning will keep them away for good.
Have a great week!

I love palm spring it is a great weekend getaway. I was just telling my husband we needed to go away for a few days and palm springs was one of the places I had thought of. Do you have a favorite place to stay?

I was just reading another blog post from someone who lives in SoCa too and she had a similiar picture of those windmills, wonder if you went to the same place?
