Valentine's Day

Valentine's morning started off good,  Kayla ran in and was excited to give us each a special picture that she drew for each of us.
Brooklyn got one, daddy got one and I got one and then she even drew another one for all of us.
She is such a thoughtful little girl.

Since daddy had to go to work he gave me my gift and the girls a little bracelet along with a Valentine's pin.
I knew I should have stopped him with the pin but it was cute so I figured it would be okay.
Come to find out Kayla would later throw a fit because I did not let her pin it on her shirt and instead told her she could pin it on her sweatshirt.
She followed me around all morning pouting making sure I knew how upset she was.
She then made it clear she would not be posing for a picture before school.

It's okay Brooklyn was happy enough to smile for me. :)

I dropped Kayla off at school and prayed she would be in a better mood later when I picked her up.
Brooklyn and I came home and we were watching a movie when  I noticed she had taken off for awhile so off around the house I went looking for her only to find her hiding in the bathroom behind a puddle of pee all over the floor(second time in two days).
Needless to say I was not a happy mommy, who doesn't love mopping a floor 2 days in a row?

Luckily once I picked Kayla up from school she was in a much better mood.

I even got a few pictures of them together!
After the pictures we ate lunch and then we baked a strawberry cake, yes boxed cakes are the best ;)
Fast and Easy!!

Off to naps next and of course as soon as they woke up they spotted their presents.

I had the table scattered with the heart shaped crayons I made and told them they needed to decorate the table for our dinner.
They both enjoyed scribbling and drawing all over the table and it kept them busy for awhile.

They even drew some grass for their mini my little ponies they got.

Our day hit some rough patches but eventually turned out to be pretty nice.
I guess it's just part of the fun of being a mom, right?

Hope you all had a great day with your loved ones!
