My Happies

This morning we woke up to rain and rain that was falling so hard it actually woke us all up!  I'm not complaining though because I've been waiting for a rainy day for way too long.  It's so nice to be inside with a fire going and hot cocoa in hands.
Yesterday I was ordering my yearly blog book and Brooklyn and I were going through the previous ones and I realized I've been neglecting my blog here lately and better get to posting more often so I can enjoy looking back on it later on.
So here are a few things that have put a smile on my face lately,

There is nothing better than walking in on sisters getting along!
Kayla decided to have a little acoustic concert for Brooklyn, singing songs about the animals in her books.

Every night at bath time Brooklyn lays down in the tub and relaxes and her hair flows around her head just like this pretty much everytime, she looks just like what I would picture a mermaid to look like and if she thinks nobody is in the room with her she will make up and sing the most adorable songs.

This is Vinnie, the most loving and patient cat ever!  Brooklyn is obsessed with him and he knows it.  He can often be found napping on her bed in the afternoon and once she spots him she will decorate him with hair clips, necklaces, toys, sweaters etc. she even set up a little book for him to read this time, you can also spot a tiny pink toy she has cuddled up under the sweater for him.
Finding him "decorated" always puts a smile on my face.

Kayla and her calendar, she makes sure to write down what we will be doing each day.  I see her filling that thing in numerous times throughout the day and she is always checking it to make sure she has everything down.

Early Sunday morning we got a knock on our door, I was still in my pajamas but once I saw it was a girl scout with cookies I didn't hesitate.  We are already almost out so I'll definitely be re-stocking soon.  I could eat these boxes in a day, so good!

and here are a few pictures of our rainy morning, Brooklyn's first question if it's cold outside is always "can I have some hot chocolate?"

Today I joined her but was sad to find out I was out of whipped cream :(

of course we have a fire going to keep us warm

and candles lit as well.

and after I locate all the library books and movies we'll be off to the library to re-stock and maybe swing by the grocery store for some more whipped cream, can't have coffee without that this weekend!

Oh and something else that made me happy was reading this and then seeing all the acts of kindness people participated in and captured on Instagram to honor Maura.
 Life sure can be amazing!

Happy Friday.

I love the picture of Brooklyn in the bathtub. Juliana loved doing the same thing.

Who do you order your blog book from? I would like to order one.

Have a good weekend!
