Our morning began around 6 am when Brooklyn climbed into our bed to cuddle, which means squish mommy out of the bed while daddy has his entire side to himself. Kayla came in shortly after and since there was no way I was going to be able to go back to sleep with so little space I got up and told the girls to wait in the room and work on waking daddy up. They were as patient as they could be until we gave in and let them loose. Their baskets this year were a hit, the bunny did a great job!
For sentimental reasons I had the girls sit together before searching for their eggs because I remembered clearly the picture below taken on Brooklyn's first Easter.
Why are they so big already!!!
The bunny left behind two chick eggs full of money, Kayla was quite excited to find the first one!
Around 2 o'clock family began to arrive, the girls looked so cute in their Easter dresses.
After dinner the uncles and daddy hid some more eggs so the kids could have one last egg hunt.
It's hard to believe another holiday is already over and Summer is just around the corner. The girls are getting so big I wish time would just slow down.
My Easter Poem
by Kayla
Easter is here.
Bees are buzzing,
eggs are hatching,
mommy's are feeding their newborn babies.
So if you see a newborn baby on a hike or walk, that must mean that Spring is here!

Your girls are as cute as always! Looks like they had a great Easter. It's amazing how they grow from year to year. I was just looking back at last year's Easter pics and my kids look so tiny!
How wonderful your Easter was, Shannon!
And your pictures are stunning!
I am with you...we have to get these months to slow down...
Your girls are beautiful, my friend!
And so are you!
It looks like you had a wonderful Easter! Is the first picture a bunny cake? Did you make it?
So cute! The bunny is good to your girls!
