Labor day weekend is kind of our official last weekend of Summer. Even if school has already been going on for a month after Labor day weekend we are ready for Fall! Before the weekend even began Ms. Brooklyn got a student of the month award Friday at school. So proud of my little first grader!
Friday night we had a couple over with their kids for a BBQ, we started off with some margaritas for us moms of course.
We were beyond happy to sleep in and wake up whenever we wanted to Saturday there was no soccer this weekend and we were going to spend the day swimming in Palm Springs at my father in laws.
My brother in law and his girlfriend were also there to swim for the day
Kayla had fun racing her uncle a few times.
Grandpa and his girls
Sunday we woke up to gloomy weather which was actually nice for a change. Brooklyn planted sunflowers about a month ago and they are beginning to bloom. They make me smile everytime I look outside.
The girls and I spent the day visiting with my grandparents. They recently moved to a nearby retirement community so we toured the grounds and chatted with my grandparents. Kaylas favorite room of course was the library
Brooklyn also got an early birthday gift from her great grandparents. She looked at it all day and held it the entire way home. I think she loved it!
It was a nice day visiting with my grandparents and I'm happy they live a lot closer to the family than they used to.
Monday was spent at home catching up on laundry and relaxing. Brooklyn put together her lego gift and the girls played all day together.
After I was all done with all the laundry I celebrated with a margarita. It was a perfect way to wrap up our Labor day weekend. I really wish every weekend was atleast three days!!!
