Life Lately

It's March and our weather has been perfection!!  The rain has left and our temperatures are in the high 70's and heading to the low 80's in the next few days.   The girls have Spring Break in a week and we are so hoping for this weather to stick around because we have some fun planned that the rain would surely ruin.   Life has been pretty busy the last few weeks and this past weekend was jam packed so other than taking Kayla to a few friend parties this weekend I'm looking forward to relaxing at home to refresh a bit.  Kayla had an orthodontist appointment last week and got on two more braces and also chose green rubberbands for St. Patrick's day.

Dr. Seuss birthday also happened last week and the girls got to wear their shirts that my parents bought for them.  Can you tell someone was not excited to pose for a picture?

Brooklyn also had her last Sundance Singers performance that same night.  I didn't get any pictures or video and of course it was their best one yet.

Last Friday night the girls went to hang out at their friends house while hubby and I got another date night, two Fridays in a row!!  Here are the kids having way too much fun together.

Saturday night we headed to a Cosmic Jump party

The party was from 7:30 'til 11:00 at night!!  Way too late for mommy but since it was for a very close family friend I stuck it out.  The girls had a blast but I was happy to leave because all I wanted was to be home in my pajamas!!

Sunday we met my family for dinner to celebrate my moms birthday and the girls took a long nap on the way to the restaurant.   They were definitely worn out after their weekend.

They wrapped up the night with build your own sundaes making them both very happy.

Monday I made everyones favorite mac n cheese and we played Bingo while we ate.  I felt like we needed some family time after being busy all weekend and it helped make Monday a bit more fun!

Tuesday the girls came home to fresh baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies before heading off to read for their schools Read a thon.

Brooklyn's goal was to read 100 books in 4 weeks which she read in a week and a half.

Kayla turned in her CA History Project and last night all the fourth graders had their projects set up and the parents got to go around and listen to them share what they had learned.  This year her school did the History Project night instead of an Open house.   Brooklyn will still have her Open House but Kayla will not.  I definitely do not like the idea of no Open House for 4th and 5th graders.  I'm one that loves seeing all the work they have done throughout the year so I'm hoping they go back to Open House's for them next year.

This was Kayla's second project this year and I'm hoping that's it!  They only have 2 1/2 months of school left which sounds crazy.  It's gone by so fast but I can't say I'm not excited for them to be done!
