November Recap

November 1st we gathered at my in laws for a birthday celebration.

The girls got some cousin time in.  These two are so buddy buddy now a days.

Chris and I VOTED!

Then we waited patiently for the results.

My father in law and I love a good Homegoods so he told me he had found a great one out in Palm Desert and invited me out to do some shopping.   Can you spot him taking a break waiting for me to finish going up and down every aisle?  You think he regretted his decision to spend the morning shopping with me?? lol

After a lot of shopping we ate at our favorite Mexican spot in Palm Springs.

Days later I was out getting some Christmas shopping down and the truck wouldn't start.  It needed a new battery.   Chris was on his way back from work but we were in opposite directions.   I continued shopping for another two hours while I waited for him to come save me.

Kayla has the sweetest group of besties.  They were all outside at one of her friends house and her mom sent me a pic of all the girls enjoying themselves.

Cozy Sunday morning breakfasts

Brooklyn is always creating her own creations

Could they not look any more comfortable?

We started hanging out with the parents of a few of Brooklyn's friends and we have gotten along so well.   It's been every other weekend pretty much of us all being together.  It's been so nice having these people around!

Christmas planning while everyone is in school or working.

I ordered this smaller tree for the family room and have loved having it right next to the tv to enjoy everyday.

Cats just make the house cozier

Brooklyn thinks she needs a puppy to add to the mix.  I think otherwise!

Standing in lines to get into a shop is not my favorite since Covid began

November mornings

A few weeks ago Brooklyn's class had a fort day and all the kids were encouraged to build a fort to do their online learning in.

I loved this, anything to make their day a little more fun!

That same day Kayla had spirit day and their house gets points for sporting as much of their house color as they can.

The girls wanted donuts so homemade donuts it was.

With the sun setting earlier we don't get out as a family for walks as much during the week so we make sure to go on the weekends as much as possible.

My dining room is back!
Chris had been working in here since March but I told him I needed this room back to normal for Christmas so I could have my space and decorate it again.   We ordered him a desk and moved him into the guest bedroom.  It's cramped right now but it's working.  We're thinking eventually it'll be just an office but we will wait to see what happens with his work.

Dinner and drinks on the back patio on a warmish night started off great.

then we had an issue with a water leak so after we ate we took care of our house problem.

Had our new friends over and we enjoyed hanging around the fire

We had a week straight of wind and the girls thought it was great that they could stand on their skateboards and the wind would move them. #itsthelittlethings

The day after Thanksgiving calls for all of the Christmas decorations!

Kayla and Chris were outside all day hanging the lights while Brooklyn and I decorated the inside.   We were exhausted so we all showered up and picked up dinner to eat while we watched a Christmas movie.  It was perfect!

We ended November with our second Thanksgiving celebration with a little Friendsgiving party.

The guys were too cool to smile

I could not be more thankful for these people.
They have been just what we were needing in 2020!
