Clovis Invitational 2024

Kayla's last Clovis Cross Country race!

After the long drive up we all met with the team for their pasta dinner.

Up bright and early the next morning to watch our girl race.

I have loved watching Kayla run this course the last three years.  It's a tough course but so pretty.

She finished strong with her best time for this course.  She felt great afterward and of course we were so proud of her.

Kayla's Last Cross Country Mammoth Trip

For the past three years Kayla has been lucky enough to travel to Mammoth with her Varsity cross country team to train for the upcoming season.  This year was her final trip.  She has loved this experience every year and I'm so happy she had the opportunity to go the last few years.

These kids train very hard while they are up there.  They run twice a day, morning and evening and atleast 6 or more miles on hard terrain each run.

They have a lot of fun though when they aren't running.  They play in the lake, paddle board, horesback ride, go on bike rides, shop and make a ton of memories!

ESPN All Star Student Award

Kayla's coach nominated her for the ESPN All Star Student Award and she won!  Only five students in Southern California were awarded this award.

She was invited to a softball game where she was introduced before the game, awarded $500.00 and interviewed live on air.

It was such an exciting day and opportunity for her and as always we are so proud of her!

Dancing Queen, SEVENTEEN!

Kayla is SEVENTEEN!

Our girl came home from school with flowers from a boy and her bestie

She opened all of her presents

and then we went to our favorite sushi spot for dinner.

Back home we sang happy birthday and enjoyed cookies from Cookie Co.

We had one last gift that I told her I forgot about and said it was just something small.  She opened it to find tickets to see she would be going to the Billie Eilish concert coming up.  She was so excited!!!

Happy Birthday Kayla!

That following weekend she had a sleepover with a couple of friends to celebrate her seventeenth birthday.
