We are thoroughly enjoying our Thanksgiving break and I'm getting lots done including some blog catching up. Today I'll share what the girls have been up to in school lately.
Kayla is in National Junior Honor Society this year and is busy with volunteer work and planning fun parties. Below is a picture her teacher sent me, Kayla and her bestie are in the right corner of the picture just being themselves.
Brooklyn's living her best life in fourth grade with the most fun teacher ever.
A few weeks ago they had a donut division day and her teacher as always went above and beyond to make learning fun for the kids. It was also pajama day and we lucked out because Brooklyn had donut pj's that matched the party perfectly!
It was family reading day as well so I enjoyed spending the morning reading with my girl.
Brooklyn also received a student of the month award.
So did her bestie so of course a photo was taken
Kayla finished up cross country this month and although she started out strong in the beginning of the season she slacked majorly on going to practices which she quickly learned would slow her time down.
I still enjoyed watching her run just really wish she would've put more of an effort into being her best. We'll see if she goes out for the team next year or not.
Her last competition she ran with a hurt knee and I could tell she was struggling.
She was hurting afterward but thankfully she didn't hurt it worse.
Here I am helping her walk back to the car in the pouring rain.
Twin day for these two
They were so worried about what they would wear. I would say it worked out perfectly.
Kayla's middle school has a Turkey Trot at their school and the winners get turkeys, pumpkin pies or candy bars depending on what place they come in. There is running, hurdles, an army crawl, climbing and a dodge ball alley. It's so fun for the kids that want to participate.
This year Kayla won a pumpkin pie!
They got so dirty this year
It was a short but fun filled month at school for the girls.
