So if Christmas day is my favorite day of the year I think the day after might just be my second favorite day of the year!
After the whirlwind and exhaustion that the entire month brings the day after Christmas is the day that we do absolutely nothing. The girls are usually busy pulling out all their toys and I can sit and finally enjoy my coffee, still enjoying the Christmas lights but with absolutely nothing that has to be done. Don't get me wrong I have tons of dishes and the house is a mess from the day before but it doesn't matter because I'm tired and I can do it all whenever I get up the right amount of energy to. The next week is usually about just taking it easy and I love knowing we can actually just relax and hang out at home.
The kittens enjoyed the slow mornings of the week after Christmas as well.
Christmas eventually got packed away.
I realized I have a lot of Christmas pillows I needed to find someplace to store.
The tree stayed just a bit longer because twinkle lights in the mornings are just the best
So many pajama days and kitty cuddles
We went on a couple of long walks/bike rides to get some fresh air
and then we all snuggled some more.
Sushi is always a great idea!
The girls and I went to see Little Women and loved it!
We celebrated my mother in laws birthday and the girls enjoyed some cousin time.
Kayla cuddled up with me because she was 'going to miss mommy' while we were gone.
New Years Eve was just hours away and the next day the girls would be dropped of with their grandparents while we went to Nashville for the rest of the week.
