'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Donuts were waiting for us on a rainy Christmas eve morning.

Elfie was perched in his local spot to watch all of the activities that take place on this exciting day.

After a slow morning with my warm coffee I got to work and prepped the stuffing, lasagna and then I set our Christmas day table.

The girls ate their last chocolate from their advent calendars, always a Santa.

Chris pulled out the good stuff for us to enjoy.

The girls decorated their gingerbread houses.

One took it seriously and one was all about eating the decorations.

Lots of laughs...always lots of laughs!

Oh, Brooklyn!

Love it Kayla!

They still said yes to making reindeer food!

While dinner was in the oven we all played a game of Trouble, Brooklyn won!

The wine was breathing and waiting for us to enjoy.

These two snuck off to watch a show they had been enjoying.

Finally it was time for food.

The girls showered after dinner, grabbed a small plate of desserts to enjoy while we watched Christmas Vacation.

Santa Tracking before T'was the Night Before Christmas book reading.

One last peek at the presents under the tree

There's that excitement that never fails me this time of year!

Chris' face, lol

a little too much excitement when Kayla just about knocked over the lamp!

After the book it was time to get treats for Santa and say our goodbyes to Elfie

see ya next year.....

reindeer food was scattered all along the front yard

and one last picture of two tired parents ready to tuck in our sweet girls for the big day ahead.

Shannon,
I absolutely love how you celebrate Christmas. Every single part. I wish Christmas would be here again already, but that our kids wouldn't get any older. Hugs and Happy New Year!
