A few days before Valentine's day the girls received some gifts from their grandma and their papa
and Brooklyn had a Valentine's dance at her school. This is what she was planning on wearing to the dance but she got something on her dress during the day so we had to pick her up after school so she could change.
Here she is in her second choice dress along with Kayla and a present from her Nonny and Papa for V-day.
Valentine's day morning we woke up and I got breakfast ready for the girls. The plan was to use cinnamon rolls in the cute little heart waffle maker I bought but I could not find regular cinnamon rolls anywhere so I had to purchase Jumbo rolls which didn't really work in the mini waffle maker. They tasted great just didn't look quite like hearts.
Both of the girls love Starbucks as well as pretty much any iced coffee so I thought it would be fun to make them some ice blended coffees for them to take to school. I made sure they were cute and the girls were happy to arrive at school with their personal coffee drink.
Once the girls were all taken care of I opened my gift.
Chris found me this set of vintage records with some great country classics on it at a nearby antique store. I love it so much, it has all my favorites on it and reminds me of Nashville every time I listen to it.
While they were at school I ran to the store to grab some dinner things and then came home to put together their gifts.
Just a fun assortment of girly items, ring, body spray, compact mirror and a lip gloss. Typical teen gifts.
A quick picture of the girls bedroom doors, Chris and I took turns writing down things we love about the girls each day up until Valentine's day.
After school the girls came home and enjoyed some sugary love day snacks. They sat at this table and talked about different piercings together. #helpme
While the girls were off doing their homework I set the table for our dinner
and then I added their gifts
after they were opened we poured some drinks. Wine for Chris and I and sparkling cider over pink cotton candy to turn it pink.
Dinner was so good!
Pasta with Italian sausage, salad and bread.
Dessert was the same thing as every other year, the girls request this box strawberry cake each year and there is no swaying them to anything else. They always have fun adding the sprinkles before we cut into it and I'm not gonna lie it's so simple and so good.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
