Kayla had her last school dance of the year. This dance was the Sadies dance and Kayla was just meeting up with her friends there. While she was getting ready she said something about not having a date so Brooklyn took it upon herself to dress up as a boy and came out of her room saying she would be her date to the dance.
She had all of us cracking up with her character she came up with. This girl is always keeping us on our toes and making us laugh.
Kayla looked so beautiful and has enjoyed going to all of her high school dances this year. We've enjoyed that she has gone with friends all year as we know that will not last forever!
Brooklyn also had her last school dance of the year. It was Hawaiian themed and she had fun with all her friends. I borrowed these pictures from her phone because her dances are right after school so I don't get any pictures of her beforehand.
I did make her pose for one picture after I brought her home though.
Chris took the girls shopping to pick out Mother's day gifts and when Brooklyn came home she came home with this watering can. Apparently she really needed it even though it now sits out back and is rarely used.
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo at home with tacos and drinks.
Kayla had her last check up post surgery and is now cleared for all sports. Her appointment was in the middle of the school day so I told her she could just miss the entire day. She loved having some extra time to read at home.
When Brooklyn gets a hold of my phone.
I'm pretty sure we were watching Friday Night Lights. We were very late to that watching party but us three loved this series.
Yay for teacher appreciation week!
A parent brought gave this adorable bag filled with See's candies.
I told the girls they could help come up with some fun ideas for our Summer fun list and I might just add some to our main list. Kayla said she was fine with whatever, teenager, and Brooklyn went all out and made this,
Brooklyn had to write a paper for her English class and it only needed to be a one pager but this girl knocked out 48 pages! I mean she's a sixth grader!
We dog sat my father in laws dog for a couple of hours one day and although I was working most of the time, Chris did all the work, I was happy to have a walk buddy when I got off.
Kayla realized that running back at 100% wasn't going to be as easy as she thought. She is now doing great but it took some work. She came home this day and fell asleep on the floor right after stretching.
It's weeks away from Summer and that means almost Travel time!
A couple of May Gray days.
Oliver showing how we all feel the last few weeks of school!
Kayla has us all working out to her workout videos together. I love walking in and finding them both doing things together.
Our homeowners association yearly Summer in Sundance and once again they had reptiles. Kayla was very happy to be hanging out with the snakes.
The girls always have fun at these events they run around with their friends and we get to hang with ours. They both got Henna tattoos this time, ate sno cones and churros.
The end of the year and I'm really going to miss a few of these kids, maybe some more than others ;)
It's peony season!
I just had to capture this daily moment.
Chris waiting in the driveway for two daughters to come out so he can take them to school. Doesn't he look thrilled waiting? I had to remind me they are girls and thank you for taking them on the days I am working.
Chris and I celebrating it's almost Summertime on our date night.
The girls at their grandparents playing cards
We enjoyed delicious pizza and snuggling with the cutest nephew.
Kayla in her happy place. She begged to go to Barnes n Noble and was happy to buy more books
Enjoying a warm enough to sit outside evening.
Preschool graduation day means that the year is almost over!
