Memorial day weekend is always the unofficial kick off to Summer over here so we always try to make sure we have some fun planned for this holiday weekend.
Chris had Friday off from work so after we went to watch Brooklyn receive several awards from her middle school (posting about this soon) we both headed out to see Top Gun, Maverick. I will say that this movie exceeded all expectations. It was soooo good and definitely needs to be seen in theaters. We loved it!
Friday night we had big plans!
I made our favorite homemade pizzas,
Potato Burrato Pizza (Kayla's fav.) and
Four Cheese Peach Pizza (Brooklyn's fav.)
We all got comfy on the couch and started the fourth season of Stranger Things.
We had all been waiting for this night for a few weeks. It was a great start to the weekend.
Saturday we ditched the clouds at home and headed to Palm Springs to enjoy the sun and swim all day.
Sunday and Monday we enjoyed just being home. I was in pajamas all day except for when I changed for our daily walk. I enjoyed making meatball sandwhiches Sunday night.
Sunday, Chris took Kayla to an empty parking lot so she could practice a little driving. She had fun and I can't believe we are already nearing this time in her life.
Nothing like a relaxing long weekend to get us prepared for our last few days of the school year!
