May Recap

May started out with lots of party prep for Kayla's Sweet Sixteen party.

There was the set up and lots of baking going on.

Dozens of cake pops and cupcakes were made and they looked so cool with their glow frosting and/or sprinkles.

Chris and Kayla were in charge of the dance floor the day of.

After the party recovery we were back to our normal scheduled program and I was so happy my roses were blooming beautifully so I could bring in lots of fresh flowers throughout the month.

Chris and I had a concert planned about an hour or so from our house so we decided to make it an overnight getaway.  We enjoyed the warm weather and drinks beforehand.

We even brought the girls because they love a good hotel getaway!  We let them ditch two days so we could enjoy some family time before the concert.

We all went to to dinner before we left them in the room for the concert.

Coffee in bed while the girls got ready for breakfast.

A fun little overnight getaway!

The night we got home Brooklyn had her last dance as a seventh grader.  Her dress was so cute and she looked beautiful.

Our community celebrated their annual Summer in Sundance and we of course had to go get our free In N Out and S'mores for dessert

After that we went to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie.  We were getting in all the fun family time in that we could this month after several busy months filled with Track or Cross Country meets.

The high school had an award ceremony for some of the Varsity sports players.

Kayla was recognized for Cross Country CBL 2nd Teams All League

Brooklyn had Country day at school and she rocked it with her cowboy hat and boots.

The yard looking perfect for the month of May!

All the fruit for Memorial Day weekend.

We swam at my father in law's to celebrate his birthday.  The girls were laying out and their cousin walked over to them and looked at them like he was wondering what are they doing.

Papa and his grandbabies

We ate outside for Memorial day with ice cream for dessert

I spent the last day of May at antique store

and planting some lettuce, basil and oregano.
A perfect way to enjoy a day if you ask me.
