Track & Field

Kayla didn't get to run Track & Field last year due to her knee surgery so this year she was very excited to be on the team.  She made Varsity and ran the 1600 (1 mile) and the 3200 (2 miles).  She participated in both races every meet so she was running 3 miles each time.  She loves it and works so HARD to be better each time.  We have been so proud of her!

At the awards ceremony she received the Newcomer of the Year Award along with her scholar athlete patch.  Kayla has maintained a 4.0 every semester and is taking AP classes so she is very busy.

The best part of cross country and track and field for me is seeing the friendships she has made.  Their group got a lot closer this year and they are such a great group of kids that we love having them around.

She continues to impress us and we could not be more proud!
