Trick Or Treat

Halloween has come and gone and today I will be cleaning up the mess left behind.
Every year for Halloween we have the Grandparents over to enjoy the girls in their costumes.
We eat homemade Tomato Soup and Macaroni & Cheese and then we all head out to take the girls trick or treating.
This year to make it a bit more fun we asked them to all dress up......

and they did!

Kayla was Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty

Brooklyn was the cutest Pink Piggy, and if you truly know Brooklyn you would know this costume is perfect since she does eat everything and is always hungry!!

Daddy was Bert and I was Elmo

and here are the Grandparents in their great costumes with their Grandkiddos all ready for Halloween........

Dressing up made it so much fun and it was hilarious to see what each of our parents chose to wear!!
When we went trick or treating I figured I would take Brooklyn to maybe a few houses and have to bring her back because she would be bored or just be tired.   She ended up staying out with all of us the whole time and insisted on walking on her own holding her spoon and pumpkin bag all by herself.  If we picked her up to cross the street or help her on her way she did not hesitate to let us know she wanted down!  She was such a trooper and enjoyed every bit of trick or treating.

We will all definitely be dressing up again next year just because it was so fun!

Now I am off to pick up all the glitter from the bumble bees, the black fur from the skunk and Elmo's red fur as well.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween :)
