The Night Before Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve at home this year which gave us some time to just enjoy time together.
In the morning we got everything ready for Christmas day.
I baked,
Chris helped me clean,
&
the girls watched Christmas movies.

After naptime we took a short lil' walk to visit all the ducks that had found a new vacation spot in a pool of water made by all the rain we had in the past week!
The girls liked the ducks as well as seeing all the houses decorated for Christmas on the walk back to our home.

After we got back Kayla decorated her Gingerbread house.
Good thing I didn't buy Brooklyn one this year because each time I gave her a piece of candy to decorate with, it went straight into her mouth!

Kayla was so proud of her Gingerbread House this year.

Brooklyn didn't mind not being able to help she spent her time playing tea party.

We ate our Christmas Eve dinner and then got the girls ready for bed so we could watch 'A Muppets Christmas Carol'.

Kayla got Santa's Cookies ready

and then daddy read 'Twas The Night Before Christmas'

We then tucked the girls into bed and watched 'Christmas Vacation'
until Santa came ;)
