At The Pumpkin Patch

Every year we head out to Riley's Farms to pick out some pumpkins, explore and so I can get some good pictures of the girls!
We made our trip yesterday morning and had a great time.

The weather was perfect and it wasn't too crowded when we first arrived.
If you go on the weekends it can be quite crowded so try and get there when they first open if you can.

Kayla was all smiles and happy to pose for pictures for me the entire day.
I was so proud of her for letting me take a ton of pictures.

Brooklyn on the other hand was her usual self and did not want the camera near her or in her face at all.
I had to take what I could get but she did warm up after we ate lunch.

We had never eaten lunch up there so we were very excited to find out that the restaurant was delicious and so much fun.
The girls loved the live music and we can't wait to go back.
I'm already hoping we can go when there is a blanket of snow on the ground so I can  take some pictures of the girls all bundled up making snowmen or throwing snowballs.
Then when we are too cold we can make our way to the restaurant for some hot cocoa and a warm dinner.
Doesn't that sound perfect!!

There is so much to see up there and it changes all the time depending on the season.
We couldn't really explore as much as Kayla wanted to because Brooklyn is still a little too young so I told her that just her and mommy would go up and we could hike around and take lots of pictures and she thought that was a good idea.

Last year when we went there were not many white pumpkins but this year there were a bunch.
So we collected our favorites and narrowed it down to one.
We bought our $10.00 pumpkin and I told the girls I would be picking up some more pumpkins from Trader Joe's for $3.99!

It's pretty expensive if you buy all your pumpkins from here but I mainly like to go for the pictures which makes spending $10.00 for one well worth it.

Here's Kayla holding the chosen pumpkin that came home with us.

For some reason Brooklyn was very into the corn.

After we ate at the restaurant we played around by the creek and walked or ran across all the bridges.
The girls love throwing rocks and sticks into the water.

After my 100 attempts of getting a picture of these girls together this is the best I got

Definitely not what I wanted but with all the other pictures I got and how much fun we had it doesn't even matter.
Life is great!

I think we are going up there in a couple of weekends. I would love to go during the week but just can't do it. Hoping when we go it won't too be too awful crowded!
