Fresh

Thank you for all of the Birthday and Happy New Year wishes!
We celebrated the day with lunch at Chik-fil-a and then dropped the girls of at my parents.
Hubby and I headed to the Brea mall for some shopping, which lucky for him I didn't find too much since all of the good stuff is gone from Christmas ;)
After some shopping we headed to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, The Summit House.
It was so good, now I can't stop thinking about when we can go again!
 .
.

While we were shopping at the mall I stopped by Pottery Barn and picked up the pillows that I posted about here.
They are just as cute in person as they were online and I knew they would be perfect in our Living Room.
Hubby was off on Tuesday so he took and picked up Kayla from school giving me some time to thoroughly clean the house and freshen up the house a bit.

I started with the Living Room, adding my new pillow covers and adding a few new accessories here and there.
I love the way the pillows look, they add some brightness to the room which was looking a little dark before.

I picked up this cute little vase from Anthropologie with some of my Birthday money.
I liked the bright colors on it and think it goes well with the room
I can't wait to fill it with some real roses in the Spring!

I received this card from my father in law for my birthday and I loved it so much I had to frame it.
It goes perfect in the Living Room as well and is so pretty.
It's from Papyrus, they always have great cards and little gifts in that store.

After I finished a little Living Room redo I headed straight to the Family Room and knew the red pillow covers had to be put away until next Fall.
I needed my old covers back so I could have my blues and greens back!

Much better!
Back to my relaxing, calming colors
Now I'm ready for Spring ;)

Your house is so pretty Shannon. I love your decorating touches. The new pillows are great!
I just got my new curtains for my family room in the mail today. I can't wait for my husband to get home to help me hang them. It's funny how just a few little changes can just brighten up your space huh.

Love the B-day card, and the PB pillows are awesome. I love going to Brea Mall, I could spend all my money at PB and Williams-Sonoma :)

Beautifully fresh and airy, Shannon! Your use of blue/green/white is so calm and serene. :) Where did you get that French pillow in your family room? I love it!

Everything looks so clean and fresh. Isn't it fun to get the house back to normal after the holidays? When was your birthday? Both of us at The 2 Seasons had birthdays this week. We're number 15 at Slice of Suburbia.

Your rooms are very pretty. I really like the neutral backgrounds with pops of colour. Of course the pillows are pretty, and I think your fil has great taste if he picked out that delightful card.
