Super Bowl Sunday

Did everyone watch the SuperBowl?
Well I didn't watch much of the game but I did watch just about all of the commercials and the half time show.
I thought Madonna did great and I loved the way they did 'Like a Prayer'  but that was always one of my favorite songs of hers.
Her new song ~ not so great though.
As far as commercials I would have to go with David Beckham's as the best, because yea it's David Beckham but other than his I liked the Dog bribing with Doritos ;)
The girls watched the Puppy Bowl in our room while we watched the Super Bowl in the Family Room but of course they came out for snacks throughout the day.
Here are a few pictures of our Super Bowl Sunday,

Brooklyn hiding so she wouldn't have to take a nap and yes it worked because I'm a sucker
I had just gotten back from shopping and the girls were supposed to be napping but as soon as I came in the door they jumped out of their beds to come give me hugs and kisses, how do I say go back to bed after that :)

Kayla likes to practice writing her letters so this is what she did while waiting for the game to start

Brooklyn opted to get some coloring done

Time to get some food ready

Mix and heat the 2 above ingredients together and you've got an easy chili cheese dip

Pigs n' a blanket were requested by Kayla and I'm pretty sure her and Brooklyn ate just about all of them themselves

Sharing/Taking Daddy's snacks during the game

Brooklyn taking orders just in case we needed something else to eat

Why not end the day with some ice cream because I'm not sure we ate enough junk already

We wanted the Giants to win so we were happy at the end of the night and after all of the unhealthy food I ate means I better be stepping it up and keeping to my workouts.
Happy Monday!

Adorable! As always. I enjoyed watching the commercials and the halftime, also. I don't care for Madonna's new song, either.
Don't you just love snacky Super Bowl food? I didn't go too overboard this time but definitely more calories then normal! Yummy!
Have a great day.

Thank you for giving me a reason to

Hi Shannon!
I never thanked you for getting back to me about your slipcovers...thank you! more than one person now has told me theirs were from ikea.

i made the same dip for our super bowl snacks too, only i used three cans of the turkey chili from TJ's and a package of their Pub cheese. It was so good.

I only watched halftime show and commercials. haha. I agree with you about Madonna, she looked fabulous. Loved like a prayer, and new song...eh.

the girls are cute as alwayas in your pictures here!

We stayed home too! Some friends were going to come over but stayed away cause they were afraid to catch our illness. And, I loved the commercial where John Stamos got headbutted. Too funny!
Also, I loved Madonna too. Like a prayer brings back memories. I will always like Madonna, she is tied to the past. Oh and she is the same age as my mom. :)

Shannon,

I hope you are enjoying your day.

I have never used velveeta for
nachos before.

Did you melt it in a pan? :)
