Winter break is pretty much over and I feel like we ran around more than when school was going on!
Although I did get a few days of relaxation and fun for my 33rd birthday.
For my birthday breakfast on Wednesday I told the girls that I wanted a donut with sprinkles and of course they didn't argue with that idea.
They brought me my breakfast in bed and their handmade cards, a picture Kayla drew for me and a couple of goodies from Bath and Body Works.
Later that day we took the girls to my parents and hubby and I went out to dinner and to the movies.
We saw 'This is 40' which we both thought was hilarious!!
By the time the movie was over it was midnight so we headed home because we were off to San Diego in the morning.
We were just going for the night to see one of my favorite bands, Social Distortion.
When we arrived at the hotel we were told they upgraded us to their suite.
We were pretty excited to open the doors to the room and see a huge suite.
After checking it all out and getting settled we decided to do some shopping to kill some time before dinner.
After we got back and got ready we walked across the street to grab some drinks and a bunch of appetizers at The Yardhouse.
Eventually it was time for the show, I've been listening to this band and going to their shows over the past 15 years and to make it even more exciting we got to ride the elevator and meet one of the guitarist for the band earlier in the day.
We had a great time at the show and had the perfect spot to stand.
By the time the show was over it was once again midnight and we were exhausted.
We had been up until midnight 3 times now in one week!
Being up until midnight usually happens 3 times in an entire year not in one week.
We ended up sleeping in until 10am Friday morning which NEVER happens.
After we got ready and checked out I mentioned I wanted to see the Hotel Del Coronado since I had never actually been there.
So we took the drive over the bridge and decided we would stop and get lunch at their outdoor grille.
The weather could not have been better!
After we ate we got some gelato and then walked down to the beach.
I then declared that this is exactly what I wanted to do every year on my birthday, go to the beach!
Of course weather permitting since it's usually raining on my birthday.
We eventually had to head home which was alright with me because I did miss my girls.
This years birthday might just have been my favorite one to date.
I got to enjoy two of my very favorite things,
Music and the Beach.
thanks babe for everything!
