Moss Heart

Since we will be having people over this Saturday I really haven't done any decorating for Valentines Day but I did want something  small and cute to add to our front porch.

I had been looking everywhere for a cute moss heart to hang on a vintage mailbox we have by our front door but found nothing.

Since I wasn't having any luck I decided to try and make my own.

I already had all of the things I needed to make it on hand so I didn't have to buy a thing.

I began by drawing out a heart and as you can see it came out far from perfect but it doesn't matter since it will be filled up with moss anyway.

After I cut out the heart I poured glue all over one side, you could use a paint sponge but I just used my fingers.

After the glue was spread all over I covered it with moss.

This does make a mess so be sure to have the vacuum nearby for clean up afterward.

Next I flipped it over and did the exact same thing on the other side added some twine and it was ready to hang on the front porch.

Exactly what I was looking for and even better it was free!
