Memorial Day Weekend

After 3 full days of sleeping in and family fun together I'm not ready to get back to reality and finish the last 7 days left of the school year!

We spent Saturday in Palm Springs at my father in laws swimming until sunset.
The water was a bit cold for my liking but the girls didn't mind much and after a few cocktails I got in halfway ;)
We got home around 9 and the girls were completely out, quick switch from swimsuit to pj's and in bed they went.

Sunday's plans got put on hold which actually worked out for the better because the girls, or should I just say Brooklyn, were cranky and exhausted from spending all day Saturday in the sun.
We lounged around most of the morning but had already told them we were going to go somewhere so decided last minute to drive over to John's Incredible Pizza for lunch and to play.

Brooklyn went missing & later was found having a tea party in the living room with her stuffed friends.

Today we had nothing planned and spent the entire day lounging around.
The girls spent the day coloring and drawing pictures.

Below is Brooklyn's attempt at drawing the purple zebra.
She sees Kayla copying things on paper all of the time, I love that she is giving it a try now too!

I tried to get the girls to play outside all afternoon, they went outside for about 10 minutes then came back in to play with their toys instead.
Finally after hubby grilled up some cheeseburgers for dinner they decided they wanted to be outside.

Since it was a holiday and all I had to have atleast one Margarita, a Watermelon one went along perfectly with the season.

Here's hoping that Summer goes as nicely as this past weekend did.

(I'm pretty sure these fudgsicles had something to do with getting them to play outside tonight)

Sounds like a busy but fun weekend. We had a hard time getting up this morning as well.

Howdy! Quick question that's completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when browsing from my apple iphone. I'm trying to find a template or plugin that
might be able to correct this problem. If you have any
recommendations, please share. Thank you!
