Polar Express

Friday night was our polar express night.  We did this last year and the girls loved it so I knew I wanted to do it again this year.  I thought for sure they would be asking about it sometime this month but nothing was ever said about it so I was excited to see their reaction this time around since it seemed as though they had forgotten about it. While the girls watched The Polar Express movie before bedtime I had placed a ticket on their pillows for them to see, so when they thought they would be climbing into bed to go to sleep they would really be going on a little adventure.

To say they were excited was an understatement!

When they climbed into the car they had Santa hats, peppermint popcorn and milk waiting in their seats.

Last year we drove around looking at lights locally but this year I had found a city nearby that had a street decorated with lights that coordinated to music.  It was so fun and the girls really enjoyed the music.  They were dancing around in their seats and spilling popcorn all over.

After about an hour they were pretty tired since they were up awhile past bedtime Brooklyn couldn't take it any longer so she fell asleep on the way home.

Kayla just wasn't in the mood for pictures but had a great time!

I love having these fun traditions especially when it is something so simple.  It doesn't cost a thing to make great memories!
