Thursday & Friday

Thursday morning started out as usual with Kayla reading her book and Brooklyn putting on a concert singing songs from the movie Frozen.

She gets so into it, not quite sure who her audience is but she sure knew.

Kayla loves to tell me about each book she reads and she does not leave out any details about it.  Sometimes I wish I didn't ask but I know one day I'll miss her little voice telling me about her cute books.  Right now she loves all of the Junie B. Jones books.

Since it was raining Thursday night Brooklyn's t-ball practice was cancelled so I told the girls after they ate dinner I would make some delicious hot chocolate.  My dad used to make us Mexican hot chocolate when I was little and it was and has always been my very favorite and I've always wanted to make it for the girls.  They now sell it already in powder form before you had to buy it in a block of chocolate and go from there.

The girls loved it but I think it tasted better when my dad made it so I'll have to go over how he used to make it again.
Afterwards the girls watched 'The Lorax' they know Friday is library day and it would be going back in the morning, so one last time

I love Nicholas Sparks books and just like all the others 'The Choice' did not disappoint, it even made me cry which hasn't happened while reading a book before.  I've almost read all of his books, only 3 more I need to read but not this week since I know I'll be busy with Valentines day coming up and sports every night.  Reading another book will have to wait for a bit.

Hurray, for Friday afternoon, were just waiting for daddy and our home will be complete.  This might just be our very last weekend without anywhere to be or do for the next few months!

I can't really say we have nothing to do I have 40 something Valentines to put together for the girls so then they can write their names on them.
Note to self, next time they choose what they want to hand out to their friends thoroughly think about how much time it's going to take me to get them made!
Have a great weekend!

You are the sweetest Mommy, Shannon. : ) And Flynn won't watch Frozen! She thinks it won't be fair to Cinderella!!!! Guess I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD and watch it myself! : )
