We moved into our home seven years ago, it was the week before the 4th of July on what felt like the hottest day of the year. All of our parents helped, loading and unloading boxes, taking turns keeping Kayla, who was only a year old entertained. We didn't have nearly as much stuff as we have now so we got it done pretty quick. My mom and mother in law unpacked my entire kitchen while the dads and hubby put furniture together. It was amazing having everyone help every way they could and one of the ways we wanted to thank them was to have them over the following week for a BBQ and to celebrate our very first 4th of July in our new home. Little did we know that every 4th of July after would be celebrated in our home with our closest family members. I love celebrating every holiday obviously but there has always been something very special about the 4th of July. We play games every year which bring back memories of the few 4th of July's I spent up at my grandparents doing the same type of things and knowing that we are making these same memories for our girls and now my little nephew are the greatest gift in the world. Tomorrow will be our seventh 4th of July celebrated in our home and I can't wait for the annual festivities to begin!
