Last Week of Summer

I can't believe we just finished our last full week of Summer it feels like it just started!  After our busy week last week and taking the girls to Wet & Wild Water Park the day after we got back from Vegas we were looking forward to a low key week of fun at home and that's exactly what we did.

Monday we spent most of the day running errands and catching up from a week away.  Trader Joe's was our last stop and the girls got stickers.  Brooklyn should not be allowed to have stickers because of all the places I find them around the house.  At one point I turned around and saw this, Kayla thought it was hilarious.  So glad they entertain each other so well.

As I stated before last week was busy and after a long day shopping I found Kayla passed out in her room.  This girl never naps so she surely was exhausted!

Tuesday we spent all day doing fun things, first up the girls worked on their Kiwi Crate Box.

They made the cutest little crabs and enjoyed playing with them for a bit.

Later we hung out in the front yard.  Thankfully the first few days of the week were much cooler than the 100 degree weather we have been having so we got to enjoy being outside (hurry Fall!).

We also made a trip to the library to pick up some new books and movies.

After dinner UPS dropped off this blanket(don't worry I bought it on sale!) and the girls quickly claimed it as their own.  It's extremely soft!!!

Wednesday was a pajama day, I did a lot of cleaning and organizing especially in the girls room.  I even fell off a chair and had to lay on the floor for 10 minutes before I could move again.  I thought I had broken something and it was not fun.  Needless to say I'm very sore from my fall still and I will not be using a kids chair to stand on anymore!  I got over the cleaning after that and decided to make some cookies after taking a rest.

I had my helper again but this time she remembered to wear her chef's hat.  At this point I realized she is starting to realize she is gonna miss her mama being back in school all day.  She is not usually my kitchen helper but she sure has been by my side this whole week.  Makes me even sadder that Summer is coming to an end!

This little one is usually my helper in the kitchen but she has stepped aside this week, I think she knows she gets me all to herself soon.

Wednesday I received something fun I had ordered from Decor Steals. 

This cute little stand is fun for the kitchen and I can't wait to fill it with pumpkins soon!!

Thursday was a playdate at a friends house and the girls got their crazy out and were pretty tired for the rest of the day.

Even though we stayed home for the most part this week we did a lot and had fun.  

Today is our annual end of Summer picnic and the girls are super excited.  I have some mixed emotions about it,  I always love our fun traditions but I can't wrap my head around the fact that it's really already that time!
