Christmas at School

Hurray for 2 weeks off from school!!!
Brooklyn's last day was Thursday when they had a Christmas party and got to wear their pajamas.  I dropped her off that morning and then rushed back home to get some last minute things done, like wrap presents and organize presents as fast as possible so I could get back to help out at her party.

teacher gifts
When I got into her class they were finishing up some last minute details to their gifts they had made for us so I had to make sure not to peak because we like to wait til Christmas morning to see what we get.

After that was all taken care off the class got together and sat in a circle to do their gift exchange.

I caught Brooklyn and her friend Alyssa cuddling together, they are just too sweet!

Each kid took turns sitting in the middle of the circle opening their gift.  Brooklyn's gift could not have been more appropriate for her, she loved it of course!

After all the gifts were open they gathered in the front of the class to listen to their teacher read some books and the other teacher and I got their pizza and cookies ready for them.  After a quick prayer they were off to their seats to eat.

This girl sure loves pizza!

Before it was time to go home they played a couple of games.  Here's Brooklyn trying to keep the bow on her head.
We got to come home with all of her adorable Christmas crafts she made throughout the past month and a few goodies from her friends and teachers.  She had such a fun Christmas celebration at school.

Kayla had two days of fun this past month at school.  A couple of Friday's ago she had pajama day and got to watch The Polar Express while they all got to drink hot cocoa for most of the day.
Here she is in her pajamas with Gingy, her gingerbread gal she had to take along with her for the month of December and then write a story about for her monthly homework assignment.

Yesterday she took her teacher gifts in and they spent they day decorating gingerbread cookies.

They covered their plates with frosting so that the cookies would stick to the plate and they could decorate how they wanted.  Kayla said she did a boy and a girl gingerbread holding a kiss together.  I love the shoes and check out the yellow m&m's for the girls hair and mini choc. chips for the boys hair!!

I just love the imaginations kids have!
We had to display it so off went my favorite Fitz and Floyd plate so that I could display this beauty,

As soon as they were home they were off playing together with a few breaks here and there to read or play a leap pad.  I got some baking done and then relaxed a little until hubby got home so we could go to our favorite mexican restaurant for dinner.
Now I have both girls home until January 5th which I know is gonna fly by but I'm definitely looking forward to some lazy mornings for the next two weeks!
