St. Patrick's Day '15

After what seemed like an entire week of being stuck at home because I was sick and then Kayla was sick we finally are back to normal.  This morning was a good one, while I got to drink my chai tea latte(which I haven't had since last Thursday since I was sick) the girls sat right next to me flipping through all the Easter books I had just put out before they woke up.   We were all dressed and ready for the day and nobody was sick!!!  Kayla is off to school today and I could not be more excited to go grocery shopping, head out to Kohl's and maybe even stop by Home Depot to pick out some flowers for the yard. I'm sure Brooklyn will not enjoy my choice of activities for the day but I have a lot I need to get done especially if these girls want to have some fun next week while they are on their Spring Break!  Our St. Patrick's Day didn't quite go as planned since Kayla was sick but neither did last years(click here to read about that).  I had plans to make some fun sugar cookies shaped like shamrocks for when the girls got home but since Kayla was sick I held off.   I did however have the table ready for breakfast when they woke up which they really liked but Kayla had to wait to eat her cereal til this morning.  Brooklyn was so excited to go to school yesterday because they got to have green milkshakes for snack and when I picked her up she had a cute clover hat on that they had made and she told me all about Captain Carl who came to their school for the day to share a ton of different sea creatures.  She was so excited that she got to touch a starfish, jelly fish, sea urchin, pet a baby shark and many others.  Dinner for our St. Patty's day was nothing special because Brooklyn had a game so it was just some good 'ole crockpot chicken for dinner but since we are healthy today I'm completely fine with how our day went!  Here are some pictures of our St. Patrick's Day,
