4th of July

Hope everyone had a great 4th!
The day seemed to be over way too fast, maybe because we were having so much fun or maybe we just started celebrating too late in the afternoon.  Next year I'll be inviting everyone over a little earlier in hopes that it will last a bit longer!

Our fourth is pretty much the same every year.  We invite all of the immediate family over to BBQ, drink Sangria, play some games, water balloon fight and of course watch the fireworks.  We were missing a few family members this year but we still managed to have a great day!  The girls were especially excited as always.

Traditional family pictures

There is always a basket filled with silly string, glow sticks and other fun items for the kids to enjoy throughout the day.

The girls favorite part of the 4th of July....

The sun began to go down and we tried out our star sparklers before we walked over to watch the fireworks.

For the past 3 years the girls have dressed their dolls in their 4th of July outfits and pushed them in their strollers to watch the fireworks with us.  One day before I know it they we will be too old to push those strollers or be seen with their baby dolls.  Hoping those baby dolls still make it out to next years firework show as well!!

What a wonderful way to celebrate. Especially the sweet picture of the dolls in their red, white and blue attire. Priceless.
