Easter morning the girls came in to wake us up bright eyed and ready to see what the bunny had filled their baskets with. Of course hubby and I had to go out first to make sure the bunny actually came.
Lucky for them he did and boy did he leave some fun goodies!
books, candy, calico critters, cuddly animals, a much needed swimsuit, flip flops, lipglosses, bubbles, shopkins, mad libs, etc. etc.
Waiting patiently....
After tearing through their baskets it was time to find all the eggs hidden around the house
I was worried some were hidden too easy but it took them quite awhile to find all 51 eggs hidden about
While they were running around searching for eggs I had our favorite Trader Joes chocolate croissants baking in the oven. They were ready right around the time they were done finding the eggs. We sat down as a family and enjoyed our breakfast before getting all the last minute prep work that needed to be done for our family Easter celebration.
(Peeling the hard boiled eggs every Easter is bittersweet but the died shells still look beautiful all crumbled amongst each other.)
