Thursday was the last day of school for my girls!
Everybody was very excited this year!!
Usually Kayla is a bit skeptical to leave behind the school year but not this year, she was beyond ready for Summer fun!
Why do they change so much, so fast?!
I can't believe she will be a 4th grader next year, wasn't she just starting 1st grade?
and this kid, she's supposed to be tearing apart my house all day at home with me!
She definitely got taller this year and her face changed a bit.
Kayla's last day consisted of watching a movie and playing their favorite board games that they got to bring in.
and Brooklyn had her Kindergarten promotion
they sang cute songs and received their Kindergarten diploma. I knew I was going to cry but I figured just teary eyes not actually tears but when Brooklyn was singing I turned to see Kayla running over to me to watch her sister and I lost it. All I could think about was how we were just here watching Kayla's Kindergarten promotion with a tiny little Brooklyn running amuck.
Back inside their classroom they sang more songs.
One of the moms made cute diplomas out of candy and another made the candy lei
Brooklyn and her buddy Ella
Oh how I'm going to miss not only the fun that Kindergarten brings but this amazing teacher that both the girls had. She is so patient and kind, I'm so thankful that both of the girls had her for Kindergarten.
And that's a wrap, my baby is no longer a half day of school Kindergartener anymore. Next year she will be all day in first grade and Kayla will be a 4th grader!
Later that day after Kayla got out of school we surprised the girls and headed straight to Palm Springs to swim at their papa's house for the rest of the day.
It was the perfect way to kick of their Summer!
Friday morning the girls woke up to a few goodies, much less than the usual because we just bought the fooseball table for them and we are hosting a beginning of Summer party tonight with all their close friends coming over for a bbq and some fun.
It's going to be a great Summer!
