Tuesday night Kayla had her fourth grade Christmas Performance. Now months ago when we first started talking about the performances she told me she didn't want to do it because she just didn't like doing that kind of stuff. I tried to talk her into it by telling her she would only have this one and next years and then she would be done with these performances but she was sure she didn't want to do it.
So then one day she comes home all excited about one of the songs they were learning and is constantly walking around singing all about snow, snow, snow. I asked her if she was going to do the show now and she said "maybe"
Weeks go by and next thing I know she has tried out for a part to sing/rap with a friend for another song and gets the part. I was so happy and excited she decided to to participate in the show and even went out and spent her recess trying out for a special part. The show of course was great and so cute.
After it was over I asked her if she had fun and she gave me a big yes! I got teary eyed listening and watching the show especially during the last song realizing next year will be her last program after that there will be no more Christmas programs!
It all goes by way too fast!

Yes I agree time does go by too fast. She looks adorable but there and I love her dress!
