Winter Wonderland

Saturday our homeowners association put on a Winter Wonderland at the park up the street from us.  This is the first year they have done this and we were all very excited to check it out.  They brought in snow to make s small hill for the kids to sled on, cookie decorating and hot cocoa and coffee for all the residents in our association.  All they asked is that we bring an unwrapped toy to give to nearby children in need.

The girls bundled up in warm clothes and we walked up the street to the park.   As soon as we got there they went straight to the pile of snow to have a snowball fight.

While waiting for the sledding hill to be finished they enjoyed some hot cocoa

and cookie decorating

They had so much fun!

Since this was planned only a few months ago the association said that they didn't have quite as much snow as they would have liked so next year they will plan it in the budget from the beginning of the year and hope to have a whole lot more for the kids!

We are so thankful to live in such a fun association and we are happy to add the Winter Wonderland to our Christmas traditions!
