Spring Break Part IV ~ Bryce National Park

On our second full day in Utah we drove a little over an hour from our campsite to visit Bryce National Park.   This was probably my favorite day of our trip!   As soon as I walked up to this view I knew it was going to be a good day.

Last year we visited the Grand Canyon which was also pretty amazing but it did not come close to the beauty of what Bryce National Park showed us.

Since there was a lot of snow still on the ground most of the hiking trails were closed but the visitors center recommended a trail that would take us down into the canyon and would take a few hours or so.

Every step down got prettier and prettier and it was extremely hard to not take pictures of every moment.

It amazed us how we went from the dessert toned orange hoodoos to the lush green forests

as we got down to the bottom of the canyon there was more snow and ice on the ground where we had to be a little more careful with our walk.

The hike through the canyon was long and very peaceful little did we know that the hike back up was going to be a tough one!

Our hike up zigzagged for awhile and seemed to last forever

Below you can see a peek of some of the trails we took

Making our way all the way back to the top of the canyon to enjoy the amazing views.

After our three hour hike into the canyon we drove down to another recommended spot know as Mossy Cave.  We were all excited to see what that hiking spot would bring......
